Armour Construction

John and Lisa Armour

John and Lisa Armour will be heading back to Jacksonville, FL, after spending over 2 weeks here in Grand-Goave.  John has led the construction site like nothing I’ve ever seen.  He is patient and kind with the workers as he teaches them techniques and how to look from perspectives they’d never imagined.  He identifies the giftings of the other missionaries and utilizes them to lead different teams on the site.  In his mind, he’s already done with the ground floor and setting up for the second floor.  He clarifies problem areas with the engineers in Boston.  The engineers had no idea who this John Armour was, but have discovered that rather than a Haitian ox cart driver, he’s a jet pilot.  They had to sprint in order to catch up with him.

God knows what we need even before we ask Him.  We prayed, asking Him to send us the right person for the job.  John was the answer.  Over, above and way beyond what we could even have imagined.  John and Lisa feel led to come live in Haiti for a year, along with their children, while they commit themselves to this project.  In order for that to happen, they need to raise support.  We are confident that God has provided a way for them.  If you feel that you are part of that provision and would like to sponsor them for the next year, please contact us right away.

Daniel Paajanen is also here for one month.  He’s great at looking at blue print details and working on the details on site.  Kim Conrad, from Akron, has been responsible for the excavation team.  Let me tell you, they have moved a LOT of dirt this week!  Once again, Be Like Brit has been a tremendous blessing to us, sharing tools and lending us the giant concrete plant.  We also appreciate Len keeping an eye out for us on this intense project.  Now, enjoy some pictures from this week on the job:
