It’s Not About Me!

After spending a week and a half in Massachusetts, I returned to Grand-Goâve to discover that MOHI didn’t miss a beat while I was gone.  My pride has been bruised and I’m thrilled about it!  Here’s some of what happened while I was gone …

Some of the eight hundred children attending school at MOHI.

Don't you love seeing happy children going to school? A new baseball bat sure helps!

School vacation came to a close and students came back to school.

Rice and beans for lunch!

The feeding program started back up.  About 800 children are eating a hot meal each school day.

There were great church services – even though I wasn’t there!

They all managed to have fun, too!

Here’s something that happened before I left.  We now have more room to house married couples visiting the mission:

Three rooms, each with a private bath for couples coming to visit us in Haiti.

The words to one of my very favorite songs “Jesus, Lover of My Soul (It’s All About You)” by Paul Oakley, sums it up well for me:

It’s all about You, Jesus
And all this is for You
For Your glory and Your fame
It’s not about me
As if You should do things my way
You alone are God and I surrender
To Your ways
