Vacation!!!
We are back in Massachusetts after our week’s vacation. If you tried to contact us during the week, please be patient, as I have QUITE a few people to get back to now. It was wonderful for all four of us to spend a week with Gama, Angela and Nathan with no telephones or computers calling out to us! It was just good family time and very restful.
Nooooowwwwww… I can hardly wait to see many of you during our time here in America.
Phase 1 Structure is Complete!
Phase 1 of the construction on the Thozin, Grand-Goâve campus will house eight classrooms, the school kitchen, science lab, library/computer lab, conference room, craft and activity room and a four-room office suite. After 47 hours of HARD labor by 248 men, working in shifts around the clock, the structure of phase 1 is complete!
We have spent over $500,000 to date on this building and will need an additional $160,000 to do all the finish work (plumbing, electrical, ground floor floors, finish coats on the inside/outside walls, doors, windows, railings, paint and kitchen appliances). We will be spending the next several weeks visiting churches, attending special functions and sharing our vision with people in America. Please consider helping us to reach our goal of raising $160,000 to complete phase I. Please share with your friends and business associates about our work in Haiti and encourage them to get involved in helping to build the school.
Open House
This Saturday, September 15th, 1-5pm, join us for an open house at Lennie and Amy Engman’s home, located at 141A Bragg Hill Rd, Westminster, MA. Bring a lawn chair and a favorite dish you’d like to share and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, informative updates, questions and answers and conversations with many others who also have a heart for the people of Haiti. There will be many others who have visited MOHI in Haiti that will be excited to share their experiences with you, as well. Hope to see you there!
I can’t say this enough. We are EAGER to see you!!!! Please plan to join us!
