Partnering with Sirona Cares

Several years ago, I was checking the headlines on Google News. I have a section that shows news specific to Haiti and I saw that there was an article about Sirona Fuels growing some plant in Haiti that is used to make bio-diesel. Since we are always on the lookout for ways to improve the economy and chance for our school students to find work when they’ve finished school, I decided to contact them and offer our assistance if they were interested in working in our area.

At the time they were content to be working where they were, but Michelle Lacourciere and I started to keep in touch with each other pretty regularly. Eventually, the door opened up for us to start a project near our school and church in the mountains of St. Etienne. In the following video, you will get a glimpse of what the project entails and also see some of our farmers along with Michelle and Pastor Lex. (Sirona Cares is the nonprofit side of Sirona Fuels.)
