After spending a week and a half in Massachusetts, I returned to Grand-Goâve to discover that MOHI didn’t miss a beat while I was gone. My pride has been bruised and I’m thrilled about it! Here’s some of what happened while I was gone …
School vacation came to a close and students came back to school.
- Rice and beans for lunch!
The feeding program started back up. About 800 children are eating a hot meal each school day.
There were great church services – even though I wasn’t there!
John Armour came back with his wife Lisa to continue the school construction. Daniel Paajanen also joined us from Alaska to move construction along.
A Massachusetts team of medical professionals, led by Cheryl Finn, conducted medical clinics for the people in Thozin.
Dolls made a lot of little girls happy.
They all managed to have fun, too!
Here’s something that happened before I left. We now have more room to house married couples visiting the mission:
- Three rooms, each with a private bath for couples coming to visit us in Haiti.
The words to one of my very favorite songs “Jesus, Lover of My Soul (It’s All About You)” by Paul Oakley, sums it up well for me:
