I Love My Life

Our daughter Alexis likes a rather funky song that I don’t know the title of, but it must be “I Love My Life.”  So often when I sit down to write a post for the blog, the only line I know in that song comes to mind – I love my life!  I have the opportunity to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give clean water to the thirsty, and give to the poor in general.  I love my life!  I get to work with some of the most incredible people – architects, engineers, home builders, ministers, musicians, Christian rock stars, politicians, doctors, lawyers, journalists, photographers, pharmacists, EMTs, fire fighters, policemen…missionaries!  I love my life!

More concrete poured, drainage laid and lots of dirt moved this week!

John and Lisa Armour headed back to Jacksonville on Wednesday.  Our architect told me how impressed he was with John’s ability to thoroughly understand a plan – better than most anyone he knows.  Our lead engineer, John Thomsen, wrote: “I am very impressed with the quality of the work that I’m seeing in the photos on a continual basis.  Thanks for the daily photos, and keep up the good work.”  Lex and Renée don’t know how to build this building, but John does!  This family is ready to move to Haiti.  Please pray for them and help in whatever way you are able.  Thank you!!!

The reason we are building this school building?  For the children, of course!!!!

We want to encourage you to come visit us here in Haiti.  Join us in all the hard and extremely awarding work, worship with us, play with some of the most adorable children and join with me in saying, “I LOVE MY LIFE!!!”

As always, we thank each and every of you who have made it a point to pray for us and for the many generous gifts.  God bless you.
